Want to get out and experience our local trails and road rides by yourself, with friends or with a large group? Spartanburg and the surrounding areas are surprisingly well-stocked with great places to go year round. So, stop watching reruns of CSI and make some tracks!
Other great trail systems are close by too. Load the family and friends up to make a day or weekend of it!
Beautiful country scenery with long flats and occasional lengthy climbs. Great for those those with some time on a bike. Distance: 46.8 miles.
An quick out and back that starts from the Spartanburg YMCA and includes all the greatness of Croft State Park. Distance: 5.6 miles.
A popular road ride for many on the south side of Spartanburg. Be prepared to see a lot of other cyclists. Mostly rolling with an occasional flat section. Suits beginners and the hardcore alike. Distance: 38.7 miles.
Cruise through a cool town and some great scenery in horse country. Stop in for a bite to eat at one of Landrum's great restaurants. Distance: 8.2 miles with some occasionally hilly spots.
Lots of great scenery, rolling hills and flats. Great for many levels of riders.
2,800 vertical feet of climbing within 27 miles. Great scenery along the Pacolet River and surrounding areas. Has some pretty good climbs. Not for the beginning rider.
Converse heights ride is a great way
to see a cool old neighborhood with
historic architecture. Easy ride with light,
slow moving traffic.
A fantastic way to spend a few hours. Lots of sights to see, like the wetlands and wildlife. Easy to ride wide trails are a great way to get the whole family pedalling. You can walk there too, but that's not as fun.
The Mary Black Foundation's Rail Trail is located right behind our shop. A two mile paved path offers everyone a great way to get outside. Stop by our shop and test ride a bike.
Located on the south side of Croft State Natural Area, these trails offer a wide range of terrain and test all levels of skill. Lots of sites to see, and trails to conquer. Probably not for beginning riders though.
There are some exciting changes happening in Duncan Park. Some six miles of trail are being implemented for fast-paced fun and a smooth, flowy ride. Map available soon.
DuPont State Forest offers over 80 miles of trails with tons of scenery and a great variety of everything from smooth forest roads to challenging singletrack.
Greenville's Paris Mopuntain trails are great for the beginning-intermediate riders that want some swoopy, fast trails. Be prepared though, as there are lots of sightseeing pedestrians out there too, and we have to share the trail.
A section of South Carolina's Palmetto Trail is a great place to go mountain biking. Several miles of varying terrain makes for an awesome way to spend part of an afternoon riding. Although some sections are great for beginners, most of the trail is better suited towards intermediate riders. Map available soon.

Tight, windy architecture to optimize mileage in a small are. Worth the visit as it's justa short drive south.
Great scenery on another section of S.C.'s Palmetto Trail.
Located past Bryson City, N.C. the Tsali Recreation Area offers everything to challenge the beginning rider to the trail-hardened expert. 39 miles of fast downhills, smooth singletrack and some short, heinous climbing. Beautiful mountain scenery abounds. A great camping facility is on site too. It's worth a weekend trip.
